Larry Pare

Larry Pare moved to Texas in 1997 after a 30 year career with the State of Connecticut. His love for horses led to founding Happy Trails Therapeutic Riding Center. Located on his L & R Ranch in Quinlan, the center provides hippotherapy to individuals with physical and mental challenges. Larry is a member of First United Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Lake Tawakoni Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Pare served as President of the Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce for 7 years, resulting in an annual award named in his honor called “The Larry Pare Volunteer of the Year Award” which is presented at each Chamber Banquet.

Larry serves as the Chaplain for the American Legion and is a member of both the Amvets and VFW, all located in West Tawakoni. Currently he is the Vice President position of the Lake Tawakoni Friends of the Park and he joined the West Tawakoni EDC in 2020.

The improvement Mr. Pare would most like to see is the continued beautification of businesses, and to facilitate a welcoming experience for new business owners and new residents.
